Can anyone suggest a solution to my problem ...
We are Cox customers so we can watch Cox22 at home. I am often on the road outside of Kansas and want to watch these Cox22 games on ESPN3 when available. The first time I started the WatchESPN app on my phone, I was asked who my cable provider is and to log into my Cox account.
Now, the games that are blacked-out on ESPN3 in the Cox service area are blacked-out on my phone, too. Is there a way to beat this system?

If you are in a community that has COX, but you choose to have a different TV system, that is your choice. We would all love a more universally available system, but right now the problem is some don't even have a choice.Robin Roberts: "My mother used to say, when you strut, you stumble."

I have tried running through a proxy server outside of KS in order to side step the blackout on ESPN3. This has worked but not well. Usually I just get frustrated and revert to other methods.“Let your plans be dark and impenetrable as night, and when you move, fall like a thunderbolt.”

There are three ATT divisions for internet, telephone and television services , which are generally described as the follows:
ATT.net
ATT.com
ATT U-Verse
Only ATT U-Verse provides a qualifying I.S.P. service for access to Watch ESPN. The others, ATT.net and ATT.com, do not qualify.
My internet service is with ATT.com. After many phone calls to ATT and ESPN, the above was finally explained to me. Only ATT U-Verse provides a qualifying I.S.P.
There are work-arounds for now, but I imagine it is only a matter of time, before ESPN plugs the holes.
My situation was worsened, when I learned ATT U-Verse is not available in my location.
This is a major issue for sports fans. ESPN is rapidly becoming the big gorilla in the telecast of sports and particularly college basketball games."Prediction is very difficult, especially if it is about the future."
